Cross Channel Dive With The Neptune System

Wed 14th Jun 2006

10,000mm under the sea cross channel swim scheduled for the first week in August in aid of the Orchid appeal for reaserch into male cancers.

Due to take place on the 28th September 2005 this epic scuba adventure has been rescheduled for the 1st week of August 2006. Colin Osborne, PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and founder of Orchid, “We are all back on board and training hard. The team and I would like to thank everyone who has helped us to get where we are – all our sponsors, the support team, the pilot boat, dive support vessel, the press and everyone else. We are determined to achieve this remarkable feat this summer and despite the one thing that could have stopped us last year, the weather, we are all convinced that by August 2006 we will be so fit and focused we look forward to overtaking the cross channel ferries!!” To date we have raised just over 40,000 for Orchid, including 4,000 from the raffle, which was drawn in September 2005. The team will be using the Ocean Reef Neptune II full face mask with ultra sonic underwater comms.
